Cosy apartment in the heart of Pisac w/ rooftop

Overview

Cosy apartment located in the heart of Pisac.

Please read the full ad before booking :)

We're a couple mins' walk from the food & artisanal markets, the best restaurants & cafes, all shops & bus stops.

The kitchen comes fully equipped, and there is a shared rooftop in the building that you would be welcome to enjoy.

Spiritual ceremonies, workshops, Pisac Ruins, & other beautiful sites are within easy reach too.

We have fast fibre Wi-Fi, hot water, and a washing machine.
In our home, we have:
-open plan living room/kitchen, where you'll find a sofa/mattress that's possible for additional guests to sleep on (a single mattress).

-A bathroom with a warm electric shower, toilet, a sink & mirror.

-The kitchen has everything you'll need to cook some wonderful meals (essentials, kitchenware, toaster, blender, fridge, water filter.)
There's plenty of tea available also. (:
.
- if you're there for a short stay, you'll be welcome to help yourself to the spices and the pantry essentials we have stocked, too.

-The bedroom has a double bed and clothing storage (clothing rack, drawers, and shelves).

-We have a big rooftop with a seating area that you can enjoy at any time.
We also have some gym equipment on the roof such as a barbell, dumbbell, inclinable bench press + pull-down machine, pull-up bar, skipping rope, and TRX cables) that you will be welcome to use. (*The rooftop is shared with the two other apartments in the building.)

-We have a small dining table and another table that can be used as a working space.

- 200 mbps internet (fastest in town! (That we know of anyway ?) shared between 3 apartments / 1-3 people, so between 100 & 200 when in heavy use)
-We also have a washing machine on the rooftop that you’ll be welcome to use.

-The house is empty - so you'll be able to bring your own stuff along. However, we’d like to point out that we do have some clothes, etc, stashed under the bed, ready for our return :D

-some things to mention:

-The windows in the house aren't the best - in the bedroom, there's what I'd describe as a light chimney, which allows a small amount of light into the room but isn't by any means a standard window. The window in the main living room is large and lets a reasonable amount of light in - but almost directly outside of it (we are based in an alleyway) there's another building, which certainly lowers the amount of light that enters.
Also, please keep in mind that since the apartment is facing the alleyway, there isn't much privacy unless the curtains are closed.

Getting around

The Valley: Colectivos run all the way along the valley, from Cusco to Ollantaytambo (and beyond!) It's the cheapest way to get around the city - and super easy, as 'colectivos' pass by every 10 or so minutes and run from early morning til late in the evening. Pisac: Travel to Intihuatana (the famous Pisac ruins), the lakes, and beautiful mountain hikes in the Pisac area is easy via a tuk-tuk (called mototaxis in Peru) or local taxi car, both of which you can catch from outside of the Pisac Mercado De Abastos (the main food market). In the house manual you'll find numbers for our favourite taxis. Motorcycle Hire: We also offer Motorcycle hire! It's available at 40-80 soles per day, please enquire in advance though :) Parking your car: There's a carpark just opposite Mercado de Abastos where you can park your car inexpensively during your stay.

About us

My partner and I love sharing everything we love about Pisac, and realised just how much more special it was when you've got a home that's really a home: with the not-always-thought-about essentials we were struggling to find when we first arrived, like a blender, good cookware, comfy beds, hot water and reliable internet.

That's where Pisac Casitas was born from - we've made home-homes, with everything you'd expect at home, so that you can drop in and feel, well, right at home.

We'll be here to support you with anything and everything, and love meeting new people :)

House Rules
If you'd like to have more than 1 or 2 friends visit, or do anything that could be considered an event / party, please make sure it's agreed with us in advance - whilst we want you to do everything you'd do at your own home, we also wanna make sure nothing gets damaged at our place, and also that we keep our neighbour completely happy. Thanks for understanding :) Another note: please don't bring any animals into the house, unless we've agreed otherwise. If you have doubts about whether something would be OK or not, please reach out :) I think that's everything... Cheers! No smokingNo petsNo parties or eventsCheck-in is anytime after 3:00 PM

Notes
I'm out of space on the summary, so here are some extra things I'd like any prospective guests to be aware of! - As it's a ground-floor apartment, there will be occasional sounds from neighbors, and you'll have to be conscious of when you are and aren't making a lot of noise. We're quite literally in the heart of town - which comes with its benefits (being close to pretty much everything) and potential downsides - no mountain view and there won't be absolute silence like you can find up in the mountains. I personally love living there, and don't mind a bit of sound considering all the benefits of living in such a central location. Here is some guidance so we can assure all of the guests in the building are comfortable: Quiet hours: please try to keep quiet between 10 pm to 8 am (when other guests are likely to be resting) Please keep the bathroom & bedroom doors closed as often as possible to keep the noise down for yourself and your neighbors (sound travels through the 'light chimney' like crazy!) I personally love living there, and don't mind a bit of sound considering all the benefits of living in such a central location :) -Please note, that houses in Pisac don't have central heating and radiators - so the warmth you might be used to back home likely won't be possible! We (and all locals) get by just fine by wrapping up when the sun goes down, and the beds are sufficiently warm. We have one portable gas heater in the house that heats instantly and can be turned off after direct use. If you'd like more heaters or to use your own, contact us in advance and we'll discuss a solution. - Ants make an entry if they find anything in the casa - clean the sides and empty bins regularly to avoid unwanted housemates this almost always keeps them away, but plz call us right away if they persist! -The house is entirely empty - so you'll be able to bring your own stuff along. However, we’d like to point out that we do have some clothes etc stashed under the bed ready for our return :D
